Susan Goodier, author of “No Votes for Women: The New York State Anti-Suffrage Movement,” and professor, SUNY Oneonta, specializing in U.S. women’s activism, especially suffrage activism, from 1840 – 1920, will speak on Hester Jeffrey.  Jeffrey, a suffragist and political activist, organized the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union (WCTU) in Rochester, the National Assn. of Colored Women’s Clubs, and was a friend and eulogist of Susan B. Anthony.
